Tooth Implants Preston, Permanent Solution to Tooth loss
Dentures have become a thing of the past, thanks to the development of a new type of dental implants technique. Revolutionary new procedure allows patients to say goodbye to false teeth and have a full set of teeth in just an hour.
Conventional dental implants have involved placing a screw in the jaw, which is attached to a post with a ceramic replacement tooth / teeth. Some people do not have enough bone in their jaw, into which to screw these standard implants, usually because of loss of bone quality or quantity caused by gum disease. For these people – Over 20% of the population over the age of 65 – the only solution has been to settle for dentures or to have extensive, painful and lengthy surgery for bone graft in the jaw into which the implants could be secured.
Dentures are normally made from acrylic which fits over the gum and worn during the day. The problem is that many are ill-fitting and can move around the mouth, causing irritation and soreness of the tongue and all the surrounding soft tissues. In addition as a result of teeth loss, the jaw bone starts to recede, causing shrunken cheeks
Implants in an Hour; the new computer aided technique is so precise that implants can be fitted without even cutting or stitching of the gums. With no bleeding and virtually no pain, the patient is able to eat and enjoy solid food straight afterwards. This new high tech process (only available from specializing Implant surgeons) is being hailed as a major advance on existing surgical techniques.
Conventional implant techniques involve cutting open the gum tissue and peeling it back, so the implant surgeon can assess the site to install the titanium fixtures that hold the new teeth in place.
But the new method, called; teeth in an Hour, uses computer –mapping techniques to produce a 3D image of the patients mouth (virtual inspection of the implants recipient site).
This image is so accurate it can be used to make a template that fits the patient’s mouth over the future implant sites. Once in place, it guides the surgeon to within half a millimeter of where the implant fixture should be placed. This effectively means the most difficult part of the surgery is done long before the patient turns up for their new teeth. At the moment, it can take days or even weeks for gum tissues to heal up, but with this technique most patients will be out within an hour. They only need a local anesthetic and couple of pain killers.
Increasing number of denture wearers are opting for tooth implants. Although these are man-made, they are the closest thing to real teeth and allow patients to feel and taste food in the same way as their own teeth mean to be. ReplyDeleteI've already found some reliable info at http://dentistakron.org/
I consider second opinions before deciding where will i consult my problem. Hope you can help me.
Thanks in advance :)
Wow, this is an amazing technique! Using a computer-aided operation that can do the fitting without making your gums bleed. I wish I could have experienced an implant fitting using that technique. I remember the time when I went to the surgeon back in the Tennessee, in Chattanooga. Teeth implants didn't take that long to fit, and it was less painful than anyone could expect. He was the best dental surgeon who has worked on my teeth.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've come across with this post of yours, I hope I can be able to try that, too. I'll be moving to Preston sometime soon, so I might consider this for the remaining teeth I have which need to be replaced.
